We are grateful you are considering joining us for Worship! Here’s what you can expect when you visit Journey The Way.

We gather to pray to God as the One True God, praise God who is worthy of all praise, and proclaim the gospel of God given through Jesus Christ. We partake of the Lord’s Supper (communion) weekly as a joyous celebration of our salvation in Jesus Christ, and also as a reminder that Jesus is Immanuel – God with us. As we gather, we want to hear from God; we ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate our hearts to hear His Word and respond in worship.

Because our focus is on Christ and his gospel we want everyone to join us regardless of their background, education, ethnicity, environment or social standing. We have no dress code, no minimum requirements, no barriers to coming and hearing the good news of all that Jesus is for us. We openly invite you to join us just as you are.

We gather to exalt and lift high the name of Jesus through song, prayer, fellowship, the preaching of God's Word and participating in the sacraments of baptism and communion. It's hope that our song and liturgy would be gospel-rich, our preaching would be grounded in the gospel story, and the gathered people of God would be led to gospel-response in prayer, baptism, and communion and ultimately mission.

Sunday Worship, from song to sermon will always be saturated in the gospel. The gospel is the story of God redeeming the brokenness of the world and reconciling man back into fellowship with himself through the death, resurrection and future return of his son Jesus, the Resurrected King.

At Journey The Way we frequently practice Believer’s Baptism. Baptism is an obedient response following a person’s conversion. It is also visual display of cleansing work that takes place in the death and resurrection of Christ. Baptism emphasizes God's faithfulness to man in saving and adopting them into his family, rather than man pledge of faith to God. If you desire to be baptized, we would love to hear the story of what God has done in your life and talk with you about our next Baptism Sunday.

Each week we partake in communion (The Lord's Supper) near the end of service. This is a family meal, reserved for followers of Jesus. It is both symbolic of Jesus' broken body for his people on the cross and a tangible reminder of the spiritual nourishment we find in receiving the person and work of Jesus.

We believe that one of the primary ways that we can turn the world upside down is by investing in our children. Kids Journey aims to teach our kids the gospel, love them with a gospel-centered love, and provide real care for each child who walks through the door. Your children's safety is also our priority. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Kids Journey program. Kids is offered for ages infant through 2nd grade.

Kids ages 3rd to 5th grade are invited to join us upstairs for Worship Service. They can pickup a Kids Sermon Guide at from the greeting team at entrance to the sanctuary. Included in the sermon guide are rotating catechism questions from New City Catechism as well as basic sermon-related questions aimed at gospel clarity and sermon application.
